Plaster Text

These pieces were a progression from my printed text pieces. Taking the same industrial font and embedding it in plaster to create a sculptural object that expresses the thoughts of the mind. Having them hung on the wall connotes to the idea of thoughts that are constantly at the back of your mind, despite them not being obvious they are always there. Hanging them low and high also plays into the idea that they are not always immediately notable but appear in expected places or circumstances. I have also embedded other objects into the plaster such as my hair, which makes the piece a personal representation of myself.
