Mine Mine Mine
This piece was inspired by the artist David Hammons and his body printing artwork. For my own artwork I covered myself in butter and printed my body onto a bedsheet, I continued to cover the sheet in charcoal which left me with the print of my body. I continued to print over my breasts and vagina in my industrial font. This was a reclamation of my body that had been taken by men and reinstating my power and control over my own body.Using the word 'Mine' repeatedly gave me back my bodily autonomy.
